My work explores the emotional contradictions that compel me to find greater meaning in life through supernatural and spiritual means. Throughout my childhood, I formed relationships with people from paradoxical belief systems. This has caused confusion with how I interpreted the world around me, creating tension as I was overwhelmed with options about origin and mortality.

 

I explore spiritual disorientation as it relates to my perception of good versus evil, and natural versus unnatural using broken rings, weather formations, and false mirrors. All together, create an alternative world representing my real one. Like a mirror, worlds fracture and refract light to disorient the viewer and to portray an internally contradictory world.
